Lebanese judiciary claims Nancy Ajram's husband for "intentional killing"

On Wednesday, the Lebanese National Media Agency reported that Judge Appeal Prosecutor Judge Ghada Aoun had summoned Fadi Al-Hashem, the husband of actress Nancy Ajram, for "intentional killing".


According to the agency, Judge Aoun based her claim on Al-Hashem on articles 547 and 229 of the Lebanese Penal Code, and referred the file to the first investigating judge in Mount Lebanon, Nicolas Mansour.


The Lebanese "LBC" television network quoted defense lawyer for Al-Hashim Gabi Germanos as saying in a statement: "We were not surprised by the current claim against Dr. Fadi Al-Hashim, because the natural path is that the file will turn into the first investigating judge in Mount Lebanon, with our confirmation that the investigating judge will be issued A decision to consider Dr. Fadi Al-Hashem's act as a legitimate self-defense.

The statement continued: "It is natural for the prosecution to complete and transfer the file to the first investigating judge in Baabda, who in turn will follow up the investigations and verify the validity of all the statements made by Dr. Al-Hashim. Dr. Fadi by the Public Prosecutor of the Appeal, after verifying the availability of the conditions of legitimate defense and that this is the natural path of the judicial file.
