America offers Ukraine to help the investigations of its disaster plane

Iranian authorities are deployed at the site of the Ukrainian plane crash

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has offered Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky to provide full assistance in investigations of the stricken Ukrainian plane.

On Friday, US officials handed out "important information" to Kiev regarding the plane that crashed in Iran, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadim Pristiciko.

"President Vladimir Zelinsky and I met with representatives of the United States. We obtained important information that our experts will analyze," the Ukrainian foreign minister said on his Twitter account.

US, British and Canadian officials say that intelligence sources indicate that Iran shot down the plane, killing 176 people, all of its passengers, and this may have happened inadvertently.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky said on his Facebook page that "the missile's version has not been excluded, but it is not yet confirmed."

Zelinsky stressed his country's request to send all the information necessary for an in-depth investigation, and confirmed that he would discuss the investigation with Pompeo later Friday.

He added, "Our goal is to find the undeniable truth. The value of human life goes beyond all political motives."

In turn, the Minister of National Security and Defense of Ukraine Oleksy Danilov reported earlier that investigators are looking into several hypotheses after the accident, including the possibility that it may have been caused by a "surface-to-air" missile, a plane crash, engine failure or an operation "Terrorist."
