Saudi Arabia condemns Iranian violations of Iraqi sovereignty

The kingdom condemns and condemns Iranian violations

On Thursday, Saudi Arabia condemned "Iranian violations of Iraqi sovereignty," according to a statement by the Saudi foreign ministry.

The statement, published by the official Saudi Press Agency, said that the kingdom "condemns these attacks and condemns their violation of Iraqi sovereignty," referring to Tehran's targeting of missile strikes against Iraqi bases sheltering US military personnel.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry called again for the need for self-restraint by all parties and care not to escalate to preserve the security and stability of brotherly Iraq and the region.

The Iranian missile strike, which targeted, Wednesday, two bases where American forces are in Anbar and Erbil, the Iraqi authorities to summon the Iranian ambassador in Baghdad, to inform him of the rejection of the attacks carried out by Tehran.

Iraqi President Barham Salih denounced the Iranian bombing, once again his country's rejection of the repeated breach of national sovereignty, and to be a threat to any of its neighbors.

The American forces carried out, in the early hours of last Friday, at Baghdad International Airport, an air strike that killed the commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
