Postponement of the hearing of the Ministers of the Interior and of Defense
Meeting on Thursday, the office of the Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP) decided to postpone the hearing session to the Ministers of National Defense and the Interior at the time of the plenary session scheduled for Friday, for the confidence vote in the proposed government.
This hearing session is devoted to the issue of military intervention in Libya and the visit to Tunisia of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on December 25.
In a press statement, Nesrine Laâmeri, assessor to the president of the parliament, in charge of communication, said after the ARP bureau meeting that the members of the bureau chose to postpone the hearing of the Interior and Defense Ministers until the result of the vote of confidence on Friday in the proposed government. And to clarify, this question will be decided next Thursday, at the next meeting of the bureau.
Laâmeri also pointed out that the Security and Defense Committee in the parliament will convene, next Monday, the chief of staff of the President of the Republic for a hearing on this subject.
Last Monday, the Security and Defense commission decided to organize a hearing session with the presidency of the Republic on the developments in Libya.
