Mourinho makes his first deal as Tottenham coach

Jose Mourinho, Portugal, completed his first coach deal with Tottenham on Wednesday, with Portuguese midfielder Gidson Fernandez from Benfica on loan for 18 months.


Tottenham Hotspur, the Premier League club, has said it has the option of making the move permanent for Fernandez.


Fernandez, 21, played two matches with Portugal, as he represented his country in the under-15 age group, according to the Associated Press.

And the contract with Fernandez Tottenham gives another option in the midfield after excluding French international Musa Sissoko until April after undergoing knee surgery, as the deal is linked to the shaking of the level of midfielder Christian Eriksen.
